Dasa Maha Vidyas -  1

In Shakta Tantra, although there are many deities, Dasa Maha Vidyas are the ones who are mainly worshipped. Tantra describes the unfathomable, indescribable consciousness as Eswara. When this consciousness starts functioning through the three qualities (satva, rajas, tamas) to perform the creation, preservation and destruction, it is called as Shakti. According to Tantras, this Shakti takes ten forms to run the world. These energy forms are called Dasa Maha Vidyas. Kali, Tara, Bhuvaneswari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Tripura Bhairavi, Kamalatmika, Dhoomavati, Lalita and Matangi are the Dasa Maha Vidyas. They exist not only in the outside world, but in the inner world as well. Both the visible outside world and the invisible inner world are under their control and are being run by them. One can experience these deities directly, in the path of sadhana. One can also be blessed by their grace. Through their worship and grace, it is possible to achieve impossible tasks. They are conscious beings of light with energy bodies. The Universal Mother can sanction both worldly benefits and eternal liberation to the seeker in equal measure. It is mostly seen that humans worship these energies only for mundane benefits. Their worship is rarely seen in Andhra Pradesh, a southern state in India. One or two famous devotees can be seen, here and there. However, in Bengal, Assam, earlier Kashmir, and in Kerala, they are worshipped more than anywhere else in India. Narayana Datta Srimali, from Rajasthan, a northern state in India is also a famous Tantra practitioner. He used to run the newspaper “Mantra-Tantra-Yantra”. In Andhra Pradesh, we have a great Devi worshipper Tadepalli Raghava Narayana Shastri, also named as Chandolu Shastri garu. Both of them are no more, they passed away some years back. The lack of strength in one’s chart is because of the sins committed in past births. Everyone wishes to get rid of past sins and want to enjoy comfort and peace in their life. But, it requires the strength and grace of divine power to bestow them on us. It is possible to clear the bad karma in a native’s chart, through the worship of Dasa Maha Vidyas. The impact of past sins gets smashed through the blessing of Shakti. So, it is possible to attain comfort and peace, after checking the concerned problems, and worshipping the presiding deities.
