Last month, I had the fortune of visiting Jillellamudi for a day. C is the reason behind this. From the days of Guntakal, C used to say many times that, whenever I am in Guntur on vacation, we shall go and visit Amma.
Around two years ago, I moved to Guntakal. Prior to that, we had been to Jillellamudi two or three times. We used to start from Guntur early in the morning and stay in Jillellamudi till evening and return at night. But, while I was at Guntakal, even when I came to Guntur on vacation, I could not go to Jillellamudi. Somehow, even during vacation, some work or the other would come up preventing me from going to Jillellamudi. I used to return to Guntakal without visiting Jillellamudi.
One day, as planned, we all started our journey to Jillellamudi. We had breakfast in Bapatla and reached Jillellamudi around 11 a.m. C bought a few spiritual magazines and astrology magazines for me. We had spiritual discussions throughout the journey. My wife and kids, seated in the backseats, also participated in the discussions.
C said, “Brother, please check out Amma’s horoscope in this month’s edition of Viswajanani magazine.”
While turning the pages, I asked, “Where is it?”
C said, “It is written by none other than my brother. He has done M.A in Astrology and lives in Vijayawada.”
Meanwhile, I glanced through the article.
He asked, “How is it?”. I simply nodded my head in silence.
After a few minutes, I said that “This horoscope is very deep and cannot be understood with a cursory glance. There is a lot that can be written about this horoscope, your brother wrote very little.”
C suggested, “Maybe, you should write in detail.”
I said, “I cannot take on that adventure, but I will write if Amma bestows her compassion on me.” It is very difficult to analyze the horoscopes of people born with divine aspect and the incarnations. Holy Mother Sarada Devi’s horoscope is also one such. If we look at it with a casual eye, it appears just like any ordinary person’s horoscope. Nothing remarkable can be noticed. Only when we analyze it with a deeper vision, can we understand the greatness of these horoscopes and when their exalted state is revealed, it leaves us speechless.
As we were talking, we reached the 14 mile stone. C lived in Jillellamudi during his childhood. Charan talks about many known and unknown people who have received Amma’s blessings. He describes those events in a very dramatic way. Many hours pass by listening to him. How blessed a soul he must be to have his Upanayanam ceremony performed my Amma herself ! Thinking of his past merit, with a feeling of amazement, I say, “Amma directly gave you Brahmopadesam. How fortunate you are, brother!” C says smiling, “It is not Brahmopadesam, it is Amma Upadesam.”
Our car left the main road and turned towards Jillellamudi. A small stream of water was flowing alongside the road. Upon seeing Jillellamudi village from afar, tears began to roll down C’s eyes and he continued to drive in that state. We remained silent.
